LANCASTER, Calif. (KTLA) – Bay Fireworks, the company that conducted Simi Valley’s disastrous Fourth of July fireworks display was involved in another accident two weeks ago, KTLA News confirmed on Friday night.
On June 21, a dozen spectators at a minor league baseball game in Lancaster were injured when Bay’s fireworks malfunctioned.
Video obtained by KTLA News showed the mishap as it unfolded.
A dozen people were treated for minor burns by medical personnel who were already on-site, although no one was taken to the hospital.
A statement obtained from the Lancaster JetHawks confirmed that the accident took place.
At least 36 people were injured Thursday night when a display produced by Bay Fireworks shot into a crowd of more than 8,000 revelers in Simi Valley.
Fire officials were still investigating the cause of the Fourth of July mishap.
