Temperatures are heating up across the Southland as high pressure over New Mexico is expanding westward. Daytime highs will top out in the low 70s along the coast, mid 80s in the LA basin, 90s in the I.E. and triple digits in the high desert. Temperatures continue to warm up over the next couple days, but cooler weather begins midweek.
