A man suspected of riddling a Los Angeles Police Department patrol car with bullets was captured after being bitten by a search dog, authorities said Monday evening.
The windshield of the LAPD cruiser was struck by multiple rounds during the afternoon gun battle in which at least one officer returned fire, according to authorities.
One officer received a minor injury to his hand, possibly from flying glass or metal, the LAPD said.
The shooting followed a reported robbery at a medical marijuana store in the 7300 block of Reseda Boulevard and then a pursuit by officers, the LAPD said.
