BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KTLA)  — A 29-year-old man remained hospitalized Friday after allegedly going on a destructive rampage inside a Beverly Hills restaurant that was captured on cell phone video.

Restaurant rampage caught on call phone video.

It happened Thursday around 10 p.m. inside the Enoteca Drago Restaurant in the 400 block of North Canon Drive.

Video taken by a patron showed a partially clad man, identified as Kishane Karim Almendarez, throwing wine bottles and smashing restaurant equipment, according to Beverly Hills police

The rampage went on for several minutes as frightened customers ran for the exits.

Almendarez eventually walked out the back door and took off running south on N. Canon Drive.

With officers in pursuit, Almendarez ran into traffic where he jumped on top of a car and broke the windshield with his hands, police said.

Due to his erratic behavior, officers used a taser to control and subdue him, police said.

Almendarez was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism and was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the vandalism.

He was scheduled to appear at LAX Court in Los Angeles on Aug. 23.
