2 Arrested in Santa Ana on Suspicion of Human Trafficking

SANTA ANA, Calif. (KTLA) — Two men were in custody Thursday after being arrested on suspicion of human trafficking at a hotel in Santa Ana.

Michael Greer, 24, and Jaylin Marshall, 20,  were arrested at the Red Roof Inn on 2600 N. Main St. by police Wednesday night.

The men were accused of pimping, human trafficking and pandering of minors after allegedly luring two teenage girls from Sacramento to Southern California.

The girls, ages 17 and 16, were offered a vacation getaway to Hollywood, but ended up in Santa Ana where one of the girls was allegedly forced into prostitution, according to police.

“These girls were trapped, these girls had no way out,” Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said.

They were fortunate police found them, Bertagna said.
