Police: Masked Man Abducts Sleeping Girl From Her Bed

TARZANA, Calif. (KTLA)  — Police were searching Wednesday for a man who abducted a sleeping 6-year-old girl from her bed in a Tarzana neighborhood.

It happened early Monday morning at an apartment building near Miranda Street and Reseda Boulevard.

An unknown man entered the apartment through an open patio door and took the girl from her bed, police said.

The girl’s cries for help alerted her mother who ran outside and found her on the patio.

“I came and I saw her, the mother told KTLA. “She was screaming.  She didn’t tell me anything. She was like shaking.”

The abductor ran away on foot, police said.

“He was wearing a black and white mask, dark clothing, with red and black pants and dark boots, said Nuria Vanegas, LAPD.
