An investigation continued Friday after the body of a newborn boy was found in a trash bin in South El Monte, authorities said.
Homicides detectives responded to a residence in the 2600 block of Chico Avenue about 3 p.m. Thursday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Coroner’s investigators were also at the scene.
No details were immediately available regarding the identity of the boy or the cause of his death.
