Flames Destroy 3-Story Home in Woodland Hills

Firefighters were concerned a house fire in Woodland Hills would spread to surrounding brush.

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (KTLA) — A fire destroyed a home in the 5200 block of Calatrana Drive Saturday evening, according to L.A. City Fire officials.

The three-story house became engulfed in flames and collapsed, forcing firefighters to go into defensive mode, fire officials said.

There were no reports of injuries.

The house was surrounded by dry brush, which was a concern to firefighters.

A helicopter made several water drops on the brush, which did not catch fire.

Crews managed to put the blaze out within an hour and a half.
