Dina Lohan, mother of Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan, was arrested Thursday in Long Island, New York on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, authorities said.
Lohan, 50, was stopped at about 11:00 p.m. on the Northern State Parkway for driving “at a speed of 77 mph in a 55 mph zone,” New York State Police said in a press release.
The officer who pulled her over found Lohan “to be intoxicated,” police said.
She was given a breath test, which revealed her blood alcohol level was “.20%, more than twice the legal limit,” according to police.
Lohan was arrested on charges of DWI and Aggravated DWI.
After she was taken into custody, the 50-year-old alleged that she was injured during the arrest, according to State police
An ambulance was called to the scene to evaluate Lohan.
Emergency workers checked her out and found no injuries, according to police.
Lohan then recanted her claim, authorities said.
