Suspect Identified in Shooting Death of Man Outside Stanton Bar

Authorities have identified a suspect in the shooting death of a man outside the Oasis Bar in Stanton on Sunday.

The body of Francisco Salgado Torres, 48, was found around 2 a.m. near the intersection of W. Cerritos and Knott avenues, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

He had been shot multiple times.

Detectives believe the shooting was the result of a confrontation between Torres and 43-year-old Leonbardo “Banda” Valladares.

Valladares is being sought in the shooting.   He also uses two aliases: Noe Hernandez and Antonio Maldanada, according to the sheriff’s department.

He is believed to frequent the Stanton and Anaheim areas and is a regular at the Oasis Bar and Mexico De Noche Bar in the city of Stanton.

Anyone with information was urged call Orange County Sheriff’s Department investigators at 714-647-7055.
