Emmy Traffic Expected to Clog Downtown L.A. Streets

Motorists in downtown Los Angeles may not be walking down the red carpet on Sunday, but they may feel like they deserve to.

Officials will close down several streets around the Nokia Theatre for the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards presentation and the after-show Governor’s Ball.

The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards with take place at the Nokia Theater in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, September 22.

The closures will affect Figueroa Street from Venice to Olympic boulevards, Flower Street between 9th Street and Pico Boulevard and Pico between Flower and L.A. Live Way.

Additionally, 11th and 12th streets will be shut down west of Flower, officials say.
