14 year old Lulu Cerone founded LemonAID Warriors to unite kids in her community to turn compassion into action. KTLA covered Lulu’s Water Walk in the spring which raised enough money to provide clean water for 1600 people in Africa for life. This this weekend she is promoting her Back To School campaign to build more wells and support sanitation education at schools she visited in Africa this summer. Lulu spent the summer fundraising and will match any donation made this weekend, up to $10,000.00.
On Sunday, LemonAID Warriors will be teaming up with another teen activist, Teagan Steadman founder of ShredKids Cancer. Lulu and her warriors will be selling Lemonade at Shred Kids’ Rock the Run 5 and 10K run to raise money for pediatric cancer, in Thousand Oaks. Teagan and Lulu were both honored this year with the Prudential Spirit of Community Award, The President’s Volunteer Service Award and the Gloria Barron Prize for young heroes.
