‘Gayle On The Go’ For Sunday, September 22
An extraordinary exhibit is now open at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. At the exhibit you can see some of his real personal belongings and learn about one of our nations greatest leaders. Gayle Anderson has all the details on this exhibit as well as some fun things you can do this Sunday in her ‘Gayle On The Go’ report.
This is Los Angeles. But you will never see this Los Angeles. It was never built. This unusual exhibit at the Architecture and Design Museum explores what Los Angeles WOULD have looked like through a number of never built architectural projects.
In case you are wondering why there are can good sculptures throughout South Coast Plaza. Well, it’s OC CANSTRUCTION 2013, Orange County’s 6th Annual CANSTRUCTION Design/ Build Competition. The colorful and creative canned food sculptures will be donated to the Orange County Food Bank for distribution to 450,000 food insecure residents at the end of the event. You can donate as well by contacting the Orange County Food Bank.
If you missed last weekend’s Lobster Festival in Long Beach, you get a second chance this weekend at the 18th Annual Redondo Beach Lobster Festival live entertainment will get you in the mood the enjoy succulent lobster and more. Celebrate the end of the summer with fabulous food, fun and live entertainment are yours at Santa Anita Park for the 55th annual Pasadena Greek Fest. Proceeds benefit community outreach programs run by Saint Anthony Greek Orthodox Church.

These look as though they escaped from the La Brea Tar Pits. It’s the critters of the Anaheim Reptile Show. The weekend event includes lectures and seminars from the mover and shakers in the reptile business.
Red Bull Flugtag 2013
It’s baaaack! After a two year hiatus Red Bull Flugtag, uh flugtag is German for air show or flight day, returns to Long Beach. Creative competitors fly homemade, human powered flying machines.
I tried it! I liked it…flying aboard a homemade, human powered flying KTLA news van. Cannonbaaaaaaaallllllll!
Join vintage auto and car hobbyists who will line Ontario’s historic tree-shaded Euclid Avenue for the Route 66 Cruisin Reunion. In addition to classic cars on the classic route, event organizers have produced entertainment courtesy 16-high octane bands.
We have one more month to see this. LINCOLN THE EXHIBITION at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum. History and Hollywood come together when you see more than 250 original Abraham Lincoln artifacts including President Lincoln’s famous stovepipe hat, his watch as well as sets and items from the Steven Spielberg-directed movie Lincoln.

With all of the recent reports about shark sightings, do not fear them, learn about them at “Shark Sundays” at the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium.
