Family members are looking for the woman who struck and killed a young father and then just drove away.
Last Monday, Manuel Ayala was walking across Pacific Coast Highway in Wilmington around 7:45 p.m. when he was hit.
Ayala was taken to the hospital and placed on life-support. Doctors told his family he would never recover.
His mother said taking him off life-support was the hardest decision she ever made.
Ayala’s friends and family now spend their time handing out flyers, hoping someone will come forward with information.
The car that hit Ayala is described as a grey sedan with damage to the front windshield.
