Armed Robber Wearing ‘Paper-Boy Cap’ Sought in Santa Ana

Detectives requested the public’s assistance on Wednesday in identifying an armed robber who held up a gas station in Santa Ana.

An armed robber was seen on surveillance video as he held up a Mobile gas station in Santa Ana.

The gunman, armed with a black semi-automatic pistol, entered the Mobile gas station at 100 W. MacArthur Blvd. at about 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

The man, who authorities said should be considered armed and dangerous, took some cash from the clerk and left the store on foot.

Surveillance video showed the man’s face as he stood near the counter.

He was described as a white man, between 25 and 30 years old, standing between 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing between 180 to 200 pounds, according to police.

He was wearing what was described by police as a paper-boy cap and had short brown straight hair and a light beard.
