A man was shot and killed Tuesday night in Laguna Niguel after he allegedly stabbed an Orange County sheriff’s deputy, authorities said. Another man and a woman were also found with stab wounds at the scene.
Deputies responded to the 200 block of Chandon about 7:30 p.m. after receiving a call reporting a disturbance.
The suspect, identified as Connor Bishop Zion, 21, of Laguna Niguel, allegedly stabbed the deputy before being shot and killed by another deputy, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The wounded deputy, who was stabbed in both arms, was hospitalized with serious, but not life-threatening injuries, the department said.
Zion’s mother and roommate were also injured in the altercation and were taken to the hospital with stab wounds, according to the department.
The Orange County District Attorney’s Office was conducting an investigation into the incident.
