100th Rose Bowl Game Celebration and the 100 Days to 100 Games Campaign (#RoseBowl100)
This week kicks off the celebration for the 100th Rose Bowl Game. It was first played in 1902 and then continuously from 1916 forward. The 100th Rose Bowl Game is January 1, 2014 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena.
100 Days to 100 Games Campaign features:
- 100th Game Commemorative Book chronicling the Game history. Interactive features include replica tickets and other artifacts, QR codes to pull up video from Rose Bowl archives. Book is available from Vroman’s in Pasadena and on their website.
- The Brick Campaign at the Rose Bowl Stadium. Be a part of history one brick at a time. In April, 2014, the Stadium will install a mosaic brick design of our logo comprised of 27,000 personalized bricks. Anyone can be a part of the program by going online and signing up.
- The song, 100 Roses, by Artist Dustin Tavella. This song was commissioned for the 100th Game. It features the City of Pasadena and videotape from video archives.
- 100 Days to 100 Games Social media program on Twitter and Facebook where fans can win prizes, including tickets to the Rose Bowl Game and Rose Parade for lucky fans.
Each day will highlight a different feature with contests throughout the 100 days.
