Running water was restored to 60 homes in Mar Vista Sunday afternoon following a water main break, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power said.
The water main ruptured Saturday evening and flooded several homes, according to area residents.
The incident happened near the intersection of Charnock Rd. & Stoner Ave.
A short time after the rupture; residents could be seen walking around their backyards in knee-deep water.
The broken water main caused “moderate property damage,” DWP spokesperson MaryAnne Pierson told KTLA 5.
The main has now been repaired.
