Bill Kahn said he came down the stairs around 2 a.m. to find an intruder who was wearing no pants.

“He’s watching porn on the computer, surfing the net, raids our refrigerator, broke the toilet,” Kahn told KTLA.

“I went into attack mode immediately,” Kahn said.

Kahn was able to push the man out the sliding door and into the yard where neighbors heard a commotion and came running.

“I heard a man screaming, I mean uncontrollably,” neighbor Dylan Fernandes said.  “Then I walked out further to the curb and saw he had no pants on.”

Costa Mesa police soon arrived and took the man into custody.

He was identified as Erick Johnson, 36, of Costa Mesa, according to Lt. Jeff Hallock of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, who confirmed details of a story first reported in the Orange County Register.

Johnson was booked on suspicion of burglary and a parole violation and was due in court Monday, Oct. 7.
