Laura Trickle told the judge that her 7-month-old son, Axel Graham, has to be with her to eat, according to the Kansas City Star.

Jackson County Presiding Judge Marco Roldan gave her the option of pumping during breaks or bringing someone along to care for Axel so she could nurse him on breaks, the newspaper reported.

Trickle told the judge neither option would work in her case because she can’t afford to pay a child care provider and her son doesn’t take a bottle, according to the Associated Press.

The stay-at-home mom faces a $500 fine if convicted of the contempt charge.

She was set to appear in court on Thursday.
