Driver Surrenders After Brief Pursuit Follows Hit-and-Run: CHP
A driver suspected of a hit-and-run collision surrendered to CHP officers after a brief freeway pursuit Thursday night.
The silver sedan was weaving in and out of lanes in fairly heavy traffic just after 8 p.m.
The driver had refused to stop after a hit-and-run near the 710 Freeway and Florence Avenue in Bell Gardens, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi.
The driver was headed northbound on the 5 Freeway, then ventured onto the 134 Freeway before pulling off.
The motorist, apparently a woman, was taken into custody at West San Fernando Road and Doran Street (map) on the edge of Los Angeles and Glendale.
No other information was immediately available.
