Across Southern California, people took time out Monday to thank active and retired members of the U.S. military for their service.
One Veterans Day gathering in Inglewood included a free breakfast.
The group U.S. VETS sponsored the breakfast at its facility and treated hundreds of people to a hearty meal.
U.S.VETS is the nation’s largest nonprofit provider of comprehensive services to homeless and at-risk veterans and is dedicated to the successful transition of military veterans and their families.
The breakfast started to get underway at 8:45 a.m. at 733 South Hindry Avenue, Inglewood, CA 90301.
