SoCal Veterans Treated to Free Breakfast; Specials at Restaurants

Across Southern California, people took time out Monday to thank active and retired members of the U.S. military for their service.

One Veterans Day gathering in Inglewood included a free breakfast.

The group U.S. VETS sponsored the breakfast at its facility and treated hundreds of people to a hearty meal.

U.S.VETS is the nation’s largest nonprofit provider of comprehensive services to homeless and at-risk veterans and is dedicated to the successful transition of military veterans and their families.

The breakfast started to get underway at 8:45 a.m. at 733 South Hindry Avenue, Inglewood, CA 90301.

Denny’s has all-you-can-eat stacks of buttermilk pancakes

Farrells has a special red, white and blue thank you sundae for military personnel and veterans

Krispy Kreme is giving away a free doughnut and small coffee to veterans

7-Eleven is offering free slurpees

California Pizza Kitchen is giving away free pizzas
