LAPD Identifies Venice Restaurant Worker Killed in Stabbing

A search was underway Monday in Venice for the person who stabbed a restaurant worker and left him to die, authorities said.

Guillermo Perez, 24, was found suffering from a stab wound in the middle of the intersection at Pacific Avenue and Washington Boulevard around 12:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Paramedics transported Perez to UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, where he died a short time later.

The intersection was blocked off for several hours as police searched for clues.

There were no witnesses to the stabbing, police said.
