3 Held Captive in Hacienda Heights Home Invasion

Detectives continued their search Tuesday for two men who held three people captive in their Hacienda Heights home as it was ransacked and burglarized.

The home invasion robbery took place in the 15000 block of Facilidad Street at about 9:45 p.m. on Monday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. 

The two men entered through a bathroom window and held the three victims — a 95-year-old man, an 87-year-old woman and a 50-year-old woman — captive for about 45 minutes while the went through the home looking for cash and jewelry, according to the sheriff’s department.

The victims contacted authorities after the men left through the front door.

None of the victims were injured during the robbery, according to the sheriff’s department.

Investigators believed the men, who were thought to be Hispanic and in their 30s, escaped with about $2,000 cash and several pieces of jewelry.
