Authorities were searching Tuesday for a woman suspected of abducting her 3 children after failing to surrender two of them to child services.
Nisshawn Murphy was ordered by the court to relinquish her parental rights due to several criminal convictions.
When she failed to appear in court, the Department of Children and Family Services obtained warrants for the two children and a no bail warrant for the 39-year-old mother, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Murphy was also suspected of abducting a third child from a foster home in Palmdale, according to Luan Dang with the Palmdale Station.
Murphy has been arrested and convicted several times for narcotic violations as well as cruelty to children, Dang said.
She was described as a black woman with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds.
According to investigators, Murphy made several trips to the Antelope Valley from South Los Angeles during the past 24 hours.
She is believed to be driving a 2003 white Ford Explorer, California license plate No. 6VZX199.
Her children were identified as Bryan Murphy aka Bryan Williams, 4, Treasure Murphy aka Treasure Williams, 4, and 10-year-old Matisse Murphy.
One of the children has a chronic medical condition that requires daily treatment, according to Dang.
