Michael Holmes, 46, was arrested on Nov. 21 following a months-long investigation by the Cypress Police Department.

Authorities began the investigation after receiving numerous reports between February and September of this year from victims who had tires slashed on their parked vehicles, according to a news release from Cypress police.

All of the incidents were reported in the city of Cypress, near the area of Valley View Street and Orangewood Avenue, police said.

Damage to the vehicles totaled about $8,000, according to investigators.

Holmes was identified when surveillance video eventually surfaced, the release stated.
