Several people were displaced Tuesday morning when a fire broke out at a home in Reseda.
The fire was reported shortly before 6 a.m. in the 7900 block of Aura Avenue, according to authorities.
Firefighters, concerned about gusty winds in the area, fought to quickly douse the flames before burning embers could spark fires in the homes nearby.
The owner of the home, who is in his 90s, was away at the hospital when the fire broke out, according to Gloria Norton, who was among four people to make it out of the home safely.
Arson investigators were trying to determine the cause of the fire.
