Gunman Sought in OC Jewelry Store Robbery

Police were asking for the public’s help in identifying a man sought in the robbery of a jewelry store in Santa Ana.

The robbery occurred on Dec. 3 at Don Roberto’s Jewelry Store on in the 1600 block of W. 17th Street.

During the encounter the man described as between 20 and 25-years-old pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun from his waistband.

The man ordered ordered the clerk to step back while he removed several rings from the display. He then exited the business and headed eastbound on 17th Street.

The man was described as 5 foot 5 inches to 5 foot 8 inches tall, weighing 130 to 150 pounds with a medium complexion and dark hair. The video showed him wearing a black baseball cap with white bill and white lettering on front, a blue long sleeve button-up shirt, blue jeans and white and black tennis shoes.

He also had an unknown work or series of letters tattooed on the back of his neck, 3 dots on the web of his left hand, an unknown letter on his right middle finger and an unknown letter on his right ring finger.
