The incident occurred Sunday in the 400 block of Charmingdale Road (map) around 8:34 p.m.,  according to Deputy Mario Cortez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

At least one of the robbers identified himself as a police officer, and entered the home wearing a tactical vest, according to Sgt. Christina Baker.

Five people were in the home at the time including two women and three children, the Sheriff’s department said

A 14-year-old girl said that she and her two younger brothers, her mother and grandmother were forced into a back room by the men, who later fled.

The girl’s father, a business owner, was reportedly out of town at the time of the robbery.

At least one of the women was tied up.  She managed to untie herself and called 911, officials said.

The men ransacked the house, but had gotten away by the time deputies arrived.

The family was shaken up.  But no one was injured in the incident, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

It was unclear whether the home was targeted or if any property was stolen.

The house was equipped with surveillance equipment, which authorities said they would be used to help identify the intruders.
