Kobe Bryant Out 6 Weeks With a Knee Fracture
Kobe Bryant will be out about six weeks with a fracture of the lateral tibial plateau in his left knee, according to a team spokesman.
The Lakers All-Star guard was injured in the third quarter Tuesday in a 96-92 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
After the game, Bryant said he had just hyperextended his knee. He finished the game with 21 points, despite playing with the fracture.
Bryant missed the Lakers’ first 19 games as he recovered from an Achilles’ tear. Through six appearances, he averaged 13.8 points and 6.3 assists a game.
