The fire broke out around 5:35 p.m. Saturday in the 9200 block of Citrus Ave, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department.

When firefighters arrived, the two-story building was fully engulfed in flames and smoke, witnesses said.

A woman, who was asleep at the time, jumped from her unit on the second floor and suffered an ankle injury.

“I had to push my screen open to hop out the window,” Raniesha Littles said.

While Littles managed to get out, she said was unable to save her two dogs.

The fire caused an estimated $30,000 in damage, the fire department said.  The cause was under investigation.
