2 Men Shot in South L.A.; Woman in Custody
A 55-year-old woman accused of shooting two brothers in South Los Angeles Monday morning was taken into custody by police and has been booked on suspicion of attempted murder, authorities said.
The double shooting was reported in the 2300 block of West 74th Street (map) just before 5:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division.
Officials said earlier that the woman was being questioned at the police station, but she was not under arrest.
Initially, the two wounded men were believed to be suspects, and the woman was thought to be a victim, according to LAPD Officer Bruce Brehan.
The brothers have been hospitalized in critical but stable condition, the LAPD’s Richard French said.
The incident was believed to be a domestic one. According to police, the woman was involved with one of the shooting victims.
