One person was killed Thursday morning after a vehicle went off the side of the freeway and landed in the Tujunga Wash, according to L.A. fire officials.
The vehicle was discovered on the 4300 block of Vineland Avenue (map) right off the northbound 101 Freeway, Brian Humphrey of the L.A. Fire Department said in a tweet.
The driver was found dead at the scene, according to the tweet, and the body was trapped in the wreckage.
There was no obvious collision on the freeway, officials said.
It is unclear what time the car crashed into the water.
