Firefighters Put Out Blaze at Paper Recycling Center in Commerce

An investigation was underway Sunday following a fire at a paper recycling center in Commerce.

The fire started outside the two-story building in the 2900 block of Vail Avenue (map) just after 1 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The flames spread into the building but did not appear to have burned through the roof, according to a witness.

Firefighters used foam to put out the blaze, fire officials said.

No injuries were reported.
