Police made the arrest around 7:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of Robin Way in Buena Park, according to a news release from the Garden Grove Police Department.
Investigators were trying to determine if the person in custody may have committed a series of assaults that were reported Thursday in a span of less than five hours.

About two hours after that, a woman on the 11300 block of Clarissa Street was stabbed three times after she reported finding a burglar in her home, police said.
Less than an hour later, a man reportedly tried to force his way into the room two women were staying in at the Alamo Inn and Suites in Anaheim. He slashed them with a knife as they attempted to close the door on him, the release stated.
The last assault was reported around 10 p.m. Thursday night by a Garden Grove resident who told police she was struck several times by a man while jogging in the 11300 block of Lampson Avenue, authorities said.
Police had not yet released the identity of the person in custody.
