Tuesday Forecast: Cool, Mostly Clear Skies

Mostly sunny skies with an average high near 63 degrees by the afternoon. The temperature will drop to the 40s in the evening hours in the Los Angeles-area, and a cold front is expected to arrive by late Thursday, bringing showers.

L.A. County officials also extended a cold weather alert through Friday for the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita and Mount Wilson, after the National Weather Service forecast temperatures near freezing for those areas.
