The man, identified by the Sacramento Bee as 19-year-old Michael Kennedy, allegedly fled Regional Transit officers who were trying to talk to him at a local light-rail station, the newspaper reported.

Officers then established a perimeter. At one point during the hourlong search, Kennedy allegedly stole the bike that he used to try and get outside the perimeter, according to the Bee.

The video, which was shot by a local CBS affiliate news crew, showed the bicyclist peddling fast down a street with police cars and officers in the background. Then, an officer who was standing on the street tackled the man, taking him off the bike in the process.

Other officers came to the aid and helped subdue Kennedy, who was handcuffed at the scene, video showed.

Three officers sustained injuries in the search, but none of those injures was considered serious, the Bee reported.
