The baggage area in Terminal 1 at LAX was cleared Monday while a bomb squad investigated some baggage that was left unattended in the area.
LAX security was alerted to the dicovery at about 12:15 p.m., according to an LAX spokesperson.
Security dogs were called the the area, and based on their reaction, a bomb squad from the Los Angeles Police Department was called in.
The lower level street traffic was reduced to one lane during the investigation, according to the LAX spokesperson.
The scene was cleared as of 1:30 p.m., according to a tweet from the airport police.
It was unclear what may have been in the baggage, or why it was left unattended.
