Body Found on 210 Freeway in Pasadena; Authorities Investigate Possible Suicide

The investigation of a possible suicide was conducted Wednesday morning  after a body was found on the westbound 210 Freeway in Pasadena, the California Highway Patrol said.

Authorities received reports at 3 a.m. of a pedestrian down in the interstate’s westbound lanes, according to CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos. Upon arrival at Windsor Avenue (map), Pasadena Fire Department personnel confirmed the body was that a deceased male.

All westbound lanes were closed and a SigAlert was issued at 3:19 a.m., the CHP said in a tweet. Traffic was diverted at Arroyo Boulevard.

Lanes were reopened shortly after 7:30 a.m., according to the CHP.

It was not immediately known how the victim got on the freeway.
