The City of Thousand Oaks May Owe You Money

The city of Thousand Oaks announced Thursday that an annual review of  balances on terminated utility accounts found a total of 219 accounts with positive balances totaling $18,520.

The list of names along with the amount of the credit on the account was set to be published in the Ventura County Star on March 11 and March 18, according to a news release from the city.

Any money that was still unclaimed by May 6, would be considered abandoned property and placed in the general water fund, the release stated.

Anyone wishing to receive a claim form was urged to contact Customer Service at 805-449-2201 or print the form from a link that will be made available on the city website at
