California Democrats gathered in downtown Los Angeles Saturday for their party’s annual convention.
The work at hand: piecing together the next steps for the party and finalizing its agenda for 2014.
The influential Democrats in attendance included Gov. Jerry Brown, Attorney General Kamala Harris, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti.
“Three years ago, it was how California was down and out, in debt, headed backwards with jobs,” Garcetti said of the state’s turnaround. “This is a totally changed atmosphere.”
