Man Wanted for Exposing Himself to Children May Have Struck Again

Police in Irvine were looking Tuesday for a man wanted in a series of child annoyance and indecent exposure cases during the past three months.

The latest incident occurred Tuesday just after 1 p.m. in the area of Paseo Westpark and Hearthstone, according to a news release from the Irvine Police Department.

In the most recent case, the man approached a 12-year-old girl as she walked home from school.  He asked her for directions to a community pool, but when the girl continued walking without talking to him, he followed her to her residence, the release stated.

No indecent exposure or attempt to make physical contact occurred in this incident.

The man’s physical description and his vehicle matched a previous victim’s description of a man being sought in similar incidents on Jan. 17, Feb. 12 and March 4 in the same general area.

In each case the man was identified as being between 20 and 30 years old, light skinned with short dark brown hair.  The vehicle is a black or dark sedan with tinted windows and a partial license plate of: 6NHB_ _ _ or 6HNB _  _ _.
