Perris Pastor Arrested for Rape; Additional Victims Sought

Investigators were looking for additional victims Thursday of a pastor at a church in Perris who was arrested and booked on suspicion of rape.

Jerome Anthony Clay Sr. was taken into custody at his home after search warrants were executed at his residence and the Compassion Church on Perris Boulevard, according to a news release from the Perris Police Department.

The 41-year-old was taken to the South West Detention Center where he was being held on $55,000 bail, the release stated.

Investigators believe Clay had other victims and were urging anyone with information to report the crimes to Investigator Barajas, at the Perris Police Department by calling 951-210-1044, or by sending an email to PerrisStation@RiversideSheriff.org
