Teen Disappears From South L.A. Home, May Be Suicidal: Police

Family members of a missing 15-year-old girl from South Los Angeles who made remarks about suicide before disappearing joined police in asking the public for help in finding her Friday.

Ashley Aleriano was last seen on Wednesday at about 7:45 a.m. when she walked away from her home in the 400 block of E. 48th Street (map), according to a Los Angeles Police Department news release.

Family members told authorities Ashley made comments about suicide before leaving the home. She was considered a critical missing person by police, the news release stated.

Ashley was described as Hispanic, with brown hair and brown eyes.

She was 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighed about 148 pounds.

Ashley was possibly wearing a flower pattern top, blue jeans, and black shoes when she disappeared.
