Today is the last day we can donate and appreciate the work of the volunteers who have created CANstruction LA exhibit, sculptures made of CAN GOODS – NO GLUE ALLOWED!
CANstruction — produced by the Society for Design Administration — is held in more than one-hundred across the country and Canada. During the last five years Canstruction LA has raised more than 100-thousand cans of food for the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank. A panel of judges will award prizes for lot of categories including “Best Use of Labels,” and “Structural Ingenuity.”

Art and spirituality converge with trade and commerce in Floral Journey: Native North American Beadwork.

This exhibition is the first of its kind to explore how beaded floral designs became a remarkable art form as well as a means of economic and cultural survival for the Native North American people.

The Museum of Latin American Art is honored the only West Coast venue for the exhibition Frida Kahlo, Her Photos, which presents more than 200 images from Frida Kahlo’s personal Casa Azul archive in Mexico City.

The exhibition is not intended to biographically chart Kahlo’s life, but rather to explore how photography played an important role in shaping and documenting her personal experiences.
