1 Dead, 3 Injured in Shooting Outside Long Beach Restaurant

A man was killed and three others were injured after a shooting in a parking lot outside a Denny’s restaurant in Long Beach early Sunday, according to police.

The shooting occurred in the 600 block of Long Beach Boulevard (map) shortly before 3:00 a.m., Long Beach police spokeswoman Marlene Arrona said.

One man died at the scene.

Two men and a woman sustained injuries in the shooting, Arrona said. Their conditions were not known.

Police were investigating the incident as a gang-related shooting, but they did not believe the victims had any ties to gangs, according to Arrona.

A description of the shooter was not immediately available.

No arrests have been made.
