Sex Offender in Coachella Accused of Indecent Exposure — Again

A registered sex offender previously convicted for indecent exposure was arrested again, this time for allegedly exposing himself at a park in Coachella, according to authorities.

Francisco Javier Cervantes, 36, was arrested on Monday at about 8:30 p.m. after Coachella police responded to a report of a man exposing himself at De Oro Park (map), the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department stated in a news release on Wednesday.

Following his arrest, investigators discovered that Cervantes, a Coachella resident, was a registered sex offender who had a previous conviction for indecent exposure, the news release stated.

Cervantes was booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio accused of felony indecent exposure and violation of probation.
