A cool and unsettled weather pattern will affect the region through Wednesday. An upper low pressure system will drop into the northern California waters on Monday, and slowly move southeast across the area through Wednesday. This storm has the potential to bring moderate rain Monday night, with a chance of showers continuing through Wednesday. In addition, cold air aloft associated with this storm will bring the potential for heavy downpours and small hail which could create minor debris flow activity near the recent burn areas. Breezy westerly winds should also be expected as the front moves through, shifting to a northerly direction late Tuesday night into early Wednesday. A weaker storm system is expected to cross the region later this week.
