Burglar Sought in Break-in at Mission Viejo Home

Police were asking for the public’s help Wednesday in identifying a burglar who broke into a home in Mission Viejo while the residents were sleeping.

The break-in was reported on February 18 at around 3 a.m., according to a news release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The burglar entered through an unlocked sliding glass door and stole iPads and cash from the victim’s purse, the release stated.

The man’s image was captured by a surveillance camera inside the home.

He was described as Hispanic or Asian, approximately 17 to 20 years old with dark hair.
