Highland Couple Killed; Bodies Not Found for Almost 2 Weeks

Investigators were searching for one or more individuals who killed a Highland couple after their autopsies concluded their deaths were a homicide on Friday, according to authorities.

The bodies of Susan Youn Wun, 49, and Robert Suzuki, 63, were found in their home on Saffron Avenue (map) Wednesday around 6:10 p.m. when Highland deputies conducted a welfare check after a neighbor expressed concern over not seeing them in several days, a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department press release stated.

The deaths appeared to be suspicious and it was believed the couple was killed in their home on or about Friday, March 21, the release stated.

The cause of death was not released.

Wun’s 2000 Silver Mercedes SUV was stolen at the time of the murder and recovered on Thursday near Post Street and E. Brockton Avenue in Redlands (map), according to the release.
